I think my response, David, was based on your followup question about a legal obligation, not an ethical obligation. There's a vast difference.
I promised to post more about this matter, and I will, because it disturbs me too. But having returned only a couple of hours ago after 6 hours in airports and on planes, and given that my poor body doesn't know whether it's 9:30 pm or 6:30 pm, I'm going to bed!

Thanks, BTW, for bringing the issue up at the seminar. That's exactly the kind of thing that the Ask the Masters seminar's all about, and the debate is an important one. It's this kind of discussion that will help refine what our Code of Ethics really intends, and how we expect our members to conduct themselves.
