At the convention we had an "Ask the Experts" session. I asked our experts about the Thunderbird chip and how some had put the chip immediately on Ebay without mentioning the "find" of the chips. I had thought that would be a violation of our club code of ethics, particularly the part that reads, "not to take advantage of superior knowledge on my part to the disadvantage of a less knowledgeable collector." I was told though by one expert, one of the most experienced and respected chippers in our organization, that the seller, even if a club member, was under no obligation to provide information, as long as they didn't lie. In other words omitting key information that would enable the buyer to make an informed decision was OK. I was amazed by this, and don't agree with it, by the way.
