I didn't get one. The table wasn't very cooperative last night. :-(
On the subject of buying them just to scan. When I cashed in 4 of the $1000 jetons three weeks ago, the cashier asked for my players card. I'm assuming one of the reasons for wanting the players card was to verify that I had been playing at a level high enough and long enough to have actually won the chips. The way Nevada gaming laws deal with large denomination chip redemptions, the Paris could refuse to redeem a chip of that denomination if the person trying to cash it in can't provide a history of gambling there at a high enough level. I could probably get away with it without being questioned, but there is still a chance that they wouldn't redeem it. That's the $5000 plaque. For the $10000 plaque, same problem, with the added bonus of having to pay income taxes on it! ....found out this weekend that they have $25000 and $50000 plaques. They just don't put them on the table.
