My only question w/ a reeded edge is:

What does the edge look like when it's popped out and before being finished (ground/polished).

I still can't imagine how the 'flange' (as seen on those SC (sequoia) edges would look on a reeded edge; unless the reeded edges were made totally different.

Also, do you (or anyone else) know of another tapered edge other than the Copa... and, if so, is it as small as the Copa chip...?
