I, like many others, am in a very precarious position when it comes to the current work status. Times are tough & we all understand that. As I noted before, I got in at a cheaper rate than some of the more recent LM's, as did many of the current LM's, and I just wanted to help level out the playing field. But it's reflection of my personal feelings & what I feel that I want to do & nothing else. And that's why it was aimed towards the LM's & not the entire membership.

There have been suggestions about increasing dues. I will tell you from my short experience as the club's Membership Officer, that any increase in dues will cause many people to not renew. And with decreased membership, the "per unit" cost of publication of the CCTN will continue to rise. To me, any raise to the current dues should be that last thing to look at. My hope still resides in temporarily limiting the CCTN to three issues -- or three printed & one on-line. With a successful convention and realizing other cost savings being implemented by the , maybe we won't have to cut the CCTN issues, but everything is fair game...including dues increases.
