Players are usually asked not to "set the dice" because it takes a long time for them to get them "just right." In other words, it slows down the game - and the most famous line by any dice manager is "get a roll in."

As for cheating, I've seen some awesome players that could scoot the dice, kill one against the puck (which I also perfected for a video), and even a few that could consistently get the dice to hit the little area at the end of the table at the bottom of the rubber and have them "total" without almost any tumbling.

One fellow had a craps table in his basement and practiced for hundreds of hours on that shot - but he still wasn't a winner.
