Reverse the situation...
In Response To: Ethical Paradox ()

Meaning; let's say you find an item in your attic that belonged to a family member who has since passed away and you have no use for the item or any idea of its value. Most likely you'll get in touch with someone who has knowledge of the item while trying to fish for a value... thinking its value isn't all that high. The first person you contact offers you far more than you ever imagined such item was worth... In fact, you're shocked that someone in their right mind would even offer that much for an item that you thought wasn't worth anywhere near that figure.

1) Do you sell the item right then and there at the level the expert offered you, or...

2) Do you run like a fox trying to find another expert's opinion as to the item's value now that you know it's worth 100X what you thought it might be worth...?

If the first person you contacted offered you an amount that didn't raise your curiosity, would you have jumped at it thinking it sounds fair since you have no idea of its value... or would you think it must be worth 100X the offer and sarch further...?

My take....
My story on the subject
Reverse the situation...
Doing the right thing is not always
So I have a question.
The seller set the price...& you paid what she was
IMO the deal stands.
