I am back home after an amazing day in the Bronx. First off, let me say that I am a DEVOUT Mets fan and Yankee HATER, so this will turn out bad in the end. Has to!!! But we will get to that later, lol.

So my brother in law works for Turner Construction, and was one of the project managers assigned to build the new stadium. Turner was having a celebratory BBQ in the remnants of the old stadium at 10:00 AM, and they were comped tickets. He invited me to tag along. It was quite an experience.

I will post some of the pix I took. This first is a view of what is left of the old Yankee Stadium, taken from the stands behind home plate.
As you can see, even though the new stadium opened today, there is still a lot left of the old stadium. The seats are being sold off in lots of 2 and 4. There was a pretty good buffet happening in the tent.
