I don't like paying taxes anymore than the next guy. I waited until this afternoon to send in the remainder Uncle Sam and the State of Kansas hadn't extracted from our paychecks already. I despise wasteful government spending too. That being said what I learned in business school is the standard response of government to a recession is to increase deficit spending. It's worked in the past, I pray it works now.

Besides however much more we go in the hole to bail everyone out that needs it to get through this recession is a drop in the bucket compared to the deficit that has been created to pay for the war in Iraq which I don't hear too many people complaining about.
