That's funny. How would anyone know there has been a change in a post that far down the index (weeks away)? Wouldn't a new post noting the correct info [edit] with possibly a link to the original post seem to be a much better idea...? You know... like in the newspapers [correction]... I think that's better than running around town in order to fetch newspapers several weeks old in order to paste on a correction.

I mean; there it would be... standing anew and at the top of the index (...or in a future copy of the newspaper ).

Perhaps I'm not getting your point.
