Nearly identical to yesterday's chip -- the only difference is the house mold instead of large key. Nice looking chip -- this one has a story though.
In spring of 2007, I had been chipping for about a year. I had been to the summer 2006 convention, and was just beginning to learn some faces to put with a few names on this board. We decided to take the kids skiing in Tahoe for spring break, having loved the area the one time we had been there before in 1983. I sit down to play poker in Harvey's. I notice the fellow to my left has this card marker of the chip below in an airtite. Interesting coincidence, since I had just picked that one up in the weeks before. I introduce myself and ask about the chip and his interest. It turns out to be -- Steve Passalacqua! We played and chatted for a few hours.
Also memorable about that game was losing my chipstack when my pocket 8s lost to pocket Qs as the 2nd best boat. Lost some money, walked away having made a new friend...fair trade.
