... COIL brand, Stand Magnifyer that's quite large; lens size is 94mm x 69mm and power is 8.0D (approx 4" x 3"). All I do is keep it under my desk lamp and simply slide chips under the stand which is sitting up 2-inches. Plenty of room to view and take notes at the same time w/o having to give up use of either hand. Model number is 5472. I paid 50c for it at a Flea.
Of course I have smaller for while out in the field, but I hate using them while looking at a chip at an antique show in fear of the vendor thinking... "Wow, this must be a rare item the way this guy is examining it."
Also, a tip while asking price when you see a grouping of chips. Never ask the per unit price, but rather ask something along the lines of "How much do you want for this pile of chips" and then work from ther.
One of my first flea market finds I made the mistake of askng "each?" when the vendor answered my question "How much are these" where he said $3... and of course he said yes.
