Caesars Palace Laminated 50c chip

This chip showed up on eBay last week. It appears to be made like the old Americana Aruba $25 and $100 chips were: three layers laminated together and molded with an inlay. The Americana chips were Double Broken Circle mold, while the Caesars Palace is H-mold, but likely both made by H.C. Edwards.

I've only seen one of these before, but there is a listing in The Chip Rack. The inlay is a darker shade of gold or bronze than the regular 50c chip I have, but that could be due to protected storage, as I would think this was a prototype.

Has anyone seen other chips with similar molds and laminated construction? I know Paul-son did some laminated chips for a California card room but they didn't hold up well in play.
