() The full set can probably still be put together by visiting the various dealers during the Convention armed with a hand-held UV light. As for the bathroom visit, I just took the racks to the Sports and Race Book area, or did the searching while at the coffee shop restaurant.
Also, and this has been mentioned in past threads on the subject, the decission to put UV tags on the $1 chips was done by Chipco, and not the Luxor. I guess that when it was time for re-orders, Chipco increased their profit margin by not including the tagging.
Also interesting to note, is that back then, the Luxor continually weeded out worn $1 chips and replaced them with re-ordered chips. Up until just before they switched to the GPI (Paul-Son) chips, it was pretty hard to find any of the original UV-tagged chips. I do not know if they (the Luxor) incrementally did re-orders to affect these swap outs, or if they drew on a stockpile of chips from a single (or several) large re-orders.
In an other thread here I asked for readers to post their Top Ten chips. The Luxor $5 Chipco (depicting Queen Nefertiti) would be on my list. (It was also the 
's 1993 Chip of the Year!)
