Thanks Mike. I have an AIO HP Photosmart 5180 that does well with printing and copying (even on ethernet), but on my Mac (10.5.6), I now get error messages when I try to scan, and that sucks. But the washed-out colors suck worse. I know Epson Perfection scanners get good marks here; I may just get one of those rather than replacing the whole thing.
