I think this is a sharp looking chip, and is one of the classic $20s from an iconic casino that is still relatively affordable for most collectors.
I recall I got this chip on the newly created 'Second Chance Offer' on eBay. While this chip seemed to come out of the woodwork (in terms of eBay volume, although that has tapered off somewhat) since the closing of the Stardust, several years ago it would come up only occasionally. I remember that I had been out-sniped two or three times, and each subsequent time I would up my bid a little, justifying my overpayment with the frustration I felt by losing out on previous bids. Finally after one of the auctions where I was out-sniped, I got a Second Chance offer to buy this one. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, and instantly snatched it up.
Of course, after watching it come up for auction dozens of times since, probably never approaching 80% of what I paid for mine, I learned that sometimes you just have to pay what ever to get that chip you really want, and sometimes a bit of patience can let you have your cake and eat it too.
