Below is the majority of what I have left of my Colorado NCV chip collection. Going by the most recent Colorado Chip Price Guide by Allen Banick that I have, low value (Allen's guide places both low and high values on all chips, much like TCR) of these chips are as follows: Gilpin (2 chips) $25 each; Gold Rush (3 chips) $50 each; Imperial (8 chips) $25 each; Jubilee (2 chips) $40 each; Long Branch (4 chips) $25 each; Loose Caboose (4 chips) $20 each; JP McGills (2 chips) $20 each. That's 25 chips with a low book value of $700. I want to sell them as a single lot for $300, which breaks down to an average of $12/chip, more than 50% below low book. I paid a heck of a lot more than that for this collection, but, I need cash flow and I need it now. If nobody is interested in the lot as a whole, I will consider piecing it out in sets at 50% off low book value.
I hate having to do this, but I really don't have a choice. Racing season doesn't kick into full swing for me until later next month. I can't wait that long...
