Tunica trip report
I don't think I ever reported on my trip to Tunica last week. I was there on a Sunday and Monday and I was very surprised at how busy all of the casinos were. The dealers said that they have been busy since Christmas. The slots were busy, the tables were OK and the poker rooms were as busy as always. Most of the casinos did lay off a lot of people but the largest change was the poor quality of the food. The buffets were half the size of before. My biggest complaint was that the water at the Diner at Hollywood was undrinkable. There was more chlorine in the water than in the pool. My mouth actually burned after drinking some. You would think that a restaurant that serves thousands of people a year would be able to afford a $15 carbon filter for its water line. GEEZ. Nothing else new except the roulettes at Sams Town but no one was playing on Monday morning again so I didn't get any.
