I attributed the "L" chip to both Lehigh University and Lafayette Collecge since both are listed in the W&H button catalog. Checking Wikipedia, I found out that Lehigh's school colors are brown and white. Lafayette's school colors are maroon and white. The chips' inlays are, most clearly, maroon and white.
