First off all welcome to this fantastic hobbie.
Maybe you will find interesting becoming a CC>CC member you would find many tips and help chip collecting.
There is a collector here that haves a collecting softawe that sell on his web page, but right now I don´t remember who it was, probabl if he see´s your post he will contact you, if not I will try to check who it was, I organize my collection with an excel flie but I can´t add photos there (I don´t know if it´s possible), and I think the best way to kkep tyour chips is in boardcards inside the plastic pages, you have books like Campiglia´s Chip price guide or the TCR that you would find very interesting and helpfull for chip collecting.
