Here's an old postcard from the Golden Nugget. I'm not sure how old it is, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were from the late 1940's...not too long after the Nugget opened. Take a look at the bar... Too hard to see in the artist's rendering?

The saloon stands as a monument to the heydays of the old mining town, in its deep canyon setting, that is fast becoming a summer haven for the outdoor campers, hikers and fishermen...The saloon's famous old bar was built and used in a San Francisco saloon in 1890. It survived the '06 earthquake and several years later was moved to the Golden Nuggett Saloon in Las Vegas...In later years it was brought to Jarbridge and now it's antique beauty can be seen at the Outdoor Inn...At this bar you can be served your favorite beverage and in the cafe there is fine food.

Never heard of the Outdoor Inn? Me neither...but the sign advertises Food, Booze, Rooms...no mention of slots or games. I still thought it was cool to see where the old bar went. I wonder if it's still there...actually, I wonder if the Outdoor Inn is still there...?
