That's how I got mine

My wife was a broker inside our local bank and one day one of her customers stopped in. As he was sitting there she noticed a $1,000 bill poking out of his shirt pocket. She asked him what it was there for and he told her that he had had it for some time, but his son had been urging him to put it in the bank and earn interest on the money. He brought it in to deposit it. Carol bought it from him and gave it to me for my birthday as she knew I had always wanted one.

I still get the occasional silver dollar and Franklin half at the Sonic. I think in many cases though the come from kids who are pilfering from Dad's coin collection. It is always funny when a carhop comes in with one and asks me if we can accept them. grin
