Not sure that always holds true.
Most casinos have marked them to differentiate between pre and post euro, but I have others where the old pieces were marked FF and therefore no reason to mark the new ones.
Ive had Grand Cercle jetons supposedly issued in the past couple of years with no euro symbol.

If Fran or Carlos see this they might be able to indicate if the jeton is current or not.
