As many of you now know, my daughter has just given birth to my second grandson (3rd grandchild). While in the final stages of her pregnancy she was whiling away the hours by having me scan old photographs and emailing them to her so that she could post them on her Facebook pages.

She suggested that I create a Facebook account and look for old friends and such. I put that on my to-do list. Well, now that the baby is here, there has been an increased push to get a FaceBook page (as many of her childhood friend's parents are on FaceBook and are friends of ours).

So, this morning, I signed up!

Next thing I knew, with a chipper's assistance, I had a bunch of "friend" requests. Unfortunately, I also got a message from Facebook that told me that the version of IE I was using was NOT optimal and that I should upgrade. However, work controls the version that I am using and it does NOT let me do upgrading. So, at work, I basically have no access! !!!

Of course I also need to learn how to navigate around, but for right now, my email account is getting a bunch of friend requests and friend confirmations, but there is nothing I can do at the moment. So, if you are one of those, please know that I am NOT ignoring you. I will need to wait until I am on my homebase system to coomunicate back to you via Facebook.

While I did take a moment to visit Facebook from my laptop (a different IE version) I was able to see all the requests and referals to 'friends of friends' but I could not locate my daughter in the brief amount of log-on time I had available. I'm sure however, that she will most certainly be showing me the ropes very soon.
