() A "group buy" is where one person gets an idea for a chip design (hopefully an original idea, like the Kokopelli's) and with the inputs of other interested buyers, finalizes a design to a chip manufacturer (in this instance SunFly, via abcgiftsandawards (if I'm not mistaken).
The overall idea is to get a low price on home gaming sets. That was one of the original concepts behind the creation of ChipTalk.net. Provide an electronic forum of home gaming enthusiasts that permitted "collective" purchasing power to provide quantity discounting.
The Kokopelli's are, by our definition, Fantasy Chips.
