I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about. They agreed to be ripped off by paying top dollar for "colorized" coins that are worth no more than face value, and they got coins that are worth no more than face value. Remember - these same people serve on juries and vote in elections!

You may be aware that a recent law (it might be a Treasury regulation) requires those businesses to disclose that they are not affiliated with the U.S. Mint. I have an idea that they are telling people on the phone that their companies "work with the U.S. Mint" (meaning "we buy coins from the U.S. Mint to resell to you") to further trick them.

The encyclopedia says that PT Barnum died in 1891, but I say he is alive and well!
