I too have had casino bosses tell me simply 'to be discreet'... don't go table hopping. If they observe the harvesting going on they will do their jobs and confront the player to return the chips to the table he/she got them from and cash in ... or play them ... and not embarrass the casino by protesting innocence. Other roulette dealers have flat out asked me on occassion "what color are you after tonight?" On other occassions I have asked the pit boss up front if I could purchase one of each color for my personal collection ... and was permitted to do so. It all depends upon the casino. I have also been approached by casino security about returning abandoned slot cards that I've found left behind on the casino floor.
