Re: HUB ? Gene?
In Response To: HUB ? Gene? ()

Mason Co, offices in Newark, Chicago, Kansas City, San Francisco, etc.
Mason had the sole rights to the hub mold. Mason did not make chips, they were a distributor. They did own the mold and the rights to use it.

USPC had the mold and made the chips pre 1947.
The Burt Co bought the USPC molds in 1947.

I can not say for sure that Burt did not sell Hubs to other distributors as I have proof that they sold most of the other old molds to distributors other than the registered owners of the molds. BUT, I have no proof that they did this with the Hubs.
Per Jim Blanchard - Atlantic Standard who now owns the Hub mold, it can not be used today unless it is converted to an injection mold. I dispute this, if TR King had the old Hub mold, they could use it. They are probably the only company that could.
To answer your question, it is not being made today.
