I have a lot of faith in our group so I'll give you the facts and you draw your own conclusion. I set the deal up at Southpoint with Michael. He gave me his main girl's name, I gave it to Wayne and the board, they worked hard and got us a very good ONE YEAR deal for our convention. There is a reason I emphasize ONE YEAR deal. They will not commit to anymore until they see our convention and then they will decide if we are worth tying up a good portion of their rooms and most of the convention space for a June WEEKEND in the future. Many things go into this equation. Room nights credited to our group are most important. They also track things like food and beverage and casino play. The only way to do this is to compare our time to last years numbers. Again use your judgement, follow your heart, and ask yourself if it's worth a few extra dollars to have our convention at a nice place in the future. Every member must make his or her own decision and no, they are not going to re-negotiate because the economy sucks. They will hit 95% occupancy on weekends with or without us.
