An old mans view...
First, to let you know who I am. I am 69 years old, white (mostly Irish), I have a Mexican son-in-law, my best friend is black, I also have friends that are from China, and Japan, I have friends that are homosexual, and friends that are straight (?), I am a male and like women. My view is that we should get past being so sensative. My friends, family and I joke about race , religeon, sex, politics you name it. If it is done in fun , it should be recieved that way. We need to be able to laugh at our selves as well as others. It should NEVER be done to hurt others. I do not know Skip personly so I can not speak for him, I can only assume he is not trying to hurt anyone. On this board I have seen jokes about blondes, politics, Irish Catholics, fat people, lawyers ect. no problem, we laugh. Why should race be any different. I am short, old, a bad speller, a country boy, Irish, make a joke about it and I will laugh about it with you. To Skip I say if you are trying to hurt others stop, if you are just trying to make us laugh keep it up. to all others I say laugh at life. It is good for us not to take our selves and our problems too seriously.
