Greater Phoenix area with about 7 casinos, although several are owned/operated by same Tribe. However, hands down, the greatest concentration of casinos without driving 100's of miles between each one.

I must leave it to the Phoenix/Scottsdale locals for hotel/casino combinations. However, Harrah's Ak-Chin (furthest out) does have a hotel.

As far as what to do in Phoenix Metro area, or darn near any municipality in AZ, you need to be a golfer!

Tucson has four casinos, with 2 each, owned/operated by the same Tribe/Nation. However, one (Desert Diamond) has a newly built hotel and is across the street from the airport (if you are flying in).
