Hi Andy,

We are friends, for reasons that started with chipping and grew for a bunch of other reasons that are totally unrelated to chipping. Chuck is my friend too, the friendship growing around chips and away from them as well. I've spent more time talking to Chuck face-to-face than any other Las Vegas friend. I think I know him pretty well. I've already said that I can't defend his reaction to Rene's original public post. He's mellowed quite a bit on posting pointed opinions over the last year. Trying to beat an apology out of him won't work. All that serves to do is to drive wedges between other friends. Frankly, I think he'd admit that he over-reacted, and apologize to Rene, if there wasn't an ongoing assault directed toward him.
