Re: Magnola Hotel Covington

Very nice Roy. The C&O Cafe, 108 Pike is a real gem. It had to be right next door to the Magnolia, 118 Pike. The C&O I would think would be the Chesapeake & Ohio and I noticed on Streets & Trips the tracks passed a couple hundred yards south of there and the train on the reverse is sort of a tell. You have the stamped paper Magnolia too. I have been thinking all day about who's bin the Magnolia chip came out of and I think it was from Travis' but it could have been Alan Meyers'. It was my first convention and I remember Travis talking to me like I was an old friend for about a half hour even though he had never seen me before. It was great talking to him and "picking" his brain with my usual barrage of newbie questions. I had him sign my Seymour book and I also had Ralph Strandwold, Alan Meyers, and Dale himself signed my book as well. I don't know about you but my first convention is something that I will remember forever...well my second convention was a lot of great fun too! Hope to see you there again too Roy. Are you going?
