Sheldon, You are dead WRONG!! Let me lay out some facts for you even though you said you wouldn't read anything on this matter unless it was by e-mail.
1. I "met" Rene 2 years ago when the convention was held at the Orleans. I lodged a formal complaint against him with Mike Skelton. He had set up shop at the trading session & was selling chips as if he had paid for a table. I think I may have said "Got any chips to trade?" He replied, "I don't trade chips, I sell them". That was the extent of our meeting.
2. A while back, when Chuck first appeared on this board, he said that he had a friend at the slot desk of the Four Queens & could get slot cards imprinted with most any name you wished. I got the members of the Rat Pack & a few others & sent him a check for payment. Fine dealings & no hassles. We kept up e-mails back & forth for a few months & then stopped.
3. I have responded to some of Rene's post on this board with sarcastic notes but I never attacked him with ethnic slurs such as "You DP! Why don't you go back to Germanie" (not my spelling). We have had our disagreements both publically & by e-mail. I have never bought, traded, purloined, or scarffed a chip from Rene & I doubt I will do so in the future. My speciality is the Carribean & not Nevada.
4. I have never met Chuck Smorse, Steve Snowden, John Yee, Alan Anderson, Richard Price, or you, for that matter.
5. I have no special powers to influence anybody especially Steve & Jim Reily, who both stepped forward when they saw a wrong taking place on the board. I have made comments on other matters as my conscience dictated, for example, what Janice decided to do & the appointment of our club VP. I lived with it & moved on.
6. Finally, I have fought all of my adult life against bigotry, hatred, & racial slurs. I don't tolerate this sort of behavior in my office nor will I shut my mouth when I see such crap on this or any other BB. I will continue to give my support to groups & individuals who fight against this venom.
