Paradise Island is a small island right off of the city of Nassau on New Providence Island. Nassau is the main city on New Providence Island. Paradise Island was previously known as Hog Island until Huntington Hartford, from the A&P family, bought in and built a hotel there. The hotel was failing and it was recommended that a casino would make it profitabile along with a bridge to replace the water taxi service. But Huntington was not politically astute enough to get it done. The hotel failed without the casino. The island and the hotel were bought by mafia fronted companies. They also bought the Bahamian Club and transferred its casino license to the hotel on Paradise Island. Government officials were "taken care of" and a bridge was built. Soon the Paradise Island Casino opened. That hotel & casino is still open and is now the largest in the Caribbean and is called the Atlantis.

The Crystal Palace casino is in Nassau on Cable Beach. Its a short cab ride over to the Atlantis. But the Crystal Palace casino is definitely not on Paradise Island.

Freeport is a city on Grand Bahama Island. Its Better in the Bahamas.
