So much work to be done...

Its been a project of mine to go through all my illegals and start really considering how strong attributions are. As you might recall, there was a time when illegals "boomed" and prices skyrocketted. Suddenly, chips from Nowheresville were going for hundreds because they were "rare". During this time there was a bunch of questionable attributions made. I know of a few Galveston chips were are questionable considering the source.

We are lucky to have the chip records you have provided to help get to the bottom of some of these questions. The Clock Club chips are a bit of a mystery. I remember when Doug found some in Galveston and I too snapped up a set. They had been known before in small amounts, also found in Galveston. I suspect that the name Clock Club came from the fact there indeed was a Clock Club in Galveston and the chips showed a clock. I doubt at the time the association went beyond that. In my records, I can't find a Paul Harris, but that doesn't mean he isn't there. Obviously, more research needs to be done.

So many chips, so little time.
