I guess you are right. It is odd that no other ringed chip (or any other colored ringed chip) from USPC has a wear problem, including the $1.00 Old Southports. Here are 2 other red ringed chips, neither of which I've ever seen in such bad condition. Maybe the quarter chip just got a ton more usage.
