Today I received an email message from eBay that used both my registered ebay name and my eBay screen name as an email from another eBayer. The message was a question about whether or not I would be making payment for an item I never, ever would bid on (from eBay Yachts). The message was dated from 2007!

It gives me pause because it is completely like a valid email message that one would get through eBay.
