They are all medal aligned - that is - if you hold a chip at 6 and 12 o'clock, and flip it over, the inlays are aligned.
The inserts are also aligned. There is an insert at 6 o'clock on each chip, and at 12 o'clock if there are two inserts, or at 10 and 2 o'clock if there are three inserts.
There are two different inlays on each chip. On chips with three different colored inserts, the pattern is the same for each inlay. For example, on the Tampa Hard Rock $2.50, the brown/yellow/blue clockwise pattern is always on the guitar side, and the yellow/brown/blue pattern is always on the Hard Rock side. Jim Follis' 50/50 rule doesn't work here, unless there are errors that made it out of the factory.
The Hard Rock Hollywood chips releasd during the summer don't follow these rules.
