The low end chips - like the $3 to $8 ones aren't really worth looking at unless you can unload a bunch. I have two racks of $1 Stardust and at least one of $5 ones.
Then I have some Playboy chips - not many thank goodness, and some real old Rancho Vegas that I over paid for.
What surprises me is the Frontier chips I have aren't in demand. I have some pretty rare ones.
Well with the economy being real bad for people and the holidays, it's not a great time to sell anything, much less a collectible.
First thing people think is you are down on your luck and need to sell in order to meet obligations.
No - I'd rather see real collectors have them and if I can't break even, then back in the safe they go.
Then I get folks who want to wear the hinges off my safe runnin' me back and forth huntin' a $12 chip photographed like it was a centerfold or such.
I imagine it'll take me a long time to get rid of all I got at this rate. But by and by the economy will take off like a house afire eBay will get hot again.
It sure is a lot easier and more fun to bu 'em - that's for sure.
