Can you explain to me how Amazon can sell it for less, offer free shipping and I would imagine turn a profit than the person who published and sells his own book.

Honestly I feel that Amazon is helping the hobby.
That book will get more exposure on that site than it would ever get in the CCTN or any of these bulletin boards.
Just think how many jerks out there may join our club thanks to Amazon.
