I agree it's the right move. You can't keep producing a product at a rate greater than you can sell it (not for long anyway). An end of year closing is not unusual, but it's not usually for a month. The question is will plants really reopen in January. Some may not open at all, and the holiday may be longer than four weeks for many plants. GM is doing a holiday closing as well.
Look for great prices on a new car the first part of next year.
