My family first settled in New Jersey - our first car was Chevy - went back and forth to the garage. Noise inside the passenger side, the American mechanic found an empty beer can. We got two American cars.
Time to pay the bills, the American managers all around our family told us. "When you buy an American car make sure you don't buy one that is made on a Friday because they are drinking day and sometimes they forget the beer can", was he kidding he said no. I worked there before I opened this business.
After a while of going back and forth again, in the office he said to my two "driving age" sons, don't buy American cars anymore, buy only Japanese cars - so it started my two sons switched to Japanese cars - I did also in 1986 Toyota Previa which I still drive now. Buying a car gift for their mother's birthday they bought her Toyota Corolla, which has been hit in accidents to "salvage" status but revived she is still driving now.
The End, live and let live!
Thank you much.
