I called about the room rates for the special show pricing. I was informed that for the rates for Friday and Saturday nights are 129.00 per night. I just happened to check online prior to calling (yes, I have experience with this sort of thing), and found the same rooms for 98.00 per night.

I said to the nice lady "That's $30.00 per night more then online" She replied "Oh yeah, I guess it is" she then quickly offered me the room for the 98.00 rate. I asked why are the Special Group rates so much higher? She told me these prices were set back in April when the economy was better.

So if you are calling now or already have made reservations, please be advised. Do it online or don;t bother mentioning the group rates.

Jim, You might want to call your contact and see if you can renegotiate a better deal. This sort of thing is certainly not good.
