With that being said, there are a few points to consider.
1) He was NOT the only person repairing chips and rumours are that many others were doing the same thing.
2) The person in question was not repairing his own chips nor had any intention of selling the chips he repaired. He was providing a service for others that asked him to do it.
3) As long as there are people in this hobby who are wanting to have chips in their collection repaired, there will be a market for those services and someone will provide them.
If we truly want to stop this from happening, we should blame those sending the chips in to be repaired more than the the person actually doing it.
