Here then is the full Contest announcement. (Note: Prize pool scans may or may not appear, pending restoration of the website server where the scans are stored/hosted.)
What is actually going on here is that I asked our veteran roulette "Harvester" (and you all thought the "H" in "Barry H." stood for Hauptman!) to pose for a Photo Captioning Contest along side his favorite quarry. Within a moment of snapping this picture, I was approached by a uniformed security guard and told not to take pictures with the gaming equipment. Security was on me so quick, I figured that the eye-in-the-sky was following Barry around! Please feel free to use the backgraound info in your offerrings!
Here then is the challenge...
Please use the "Subject:" box to begin your caption and continue it into the "Message:" box, if more space is needed.
Every valid submission MUST include a valid email address.
The contest is open to all users of this fine forum, meaning that while membership is preferred, it is NOT required.
You may enter as many times as you wish, with different captions, and I ask that entries be considerate of the subject as well as the family readership here.
I wish to thank Dawn Satter, in advance, for agreeing to be the Guest Judge of this contest. Thanks Dawn!
The contest will run until midnight, 3 December, 2008 (CBT (Chip Board Time) which is also CST). I plan to submit my own captions, but they are not valid as entries. Additionally, while Barry and Dawn may also submit captions, they too are ineligible.
As in my past contests, the winner (as selected by Dawn) will be allowed to select the chip of their choice from this grouping of chips:
However, if the winner so prefers, he/she may choose instead from this grouping of chips from the Desert Diamond casino, Tucson, AZ. (One chip only.)
Thanks again to Dawn for being the Judge and to Barry for being Barry!
Good Luck one and all!
Jim
