Easy -- plain (i.e., no design or mold) clay chips came in the box. Made by US Playing Card Co prior to WW II. By "assorted" they meant 50 white, 25 red and 25 blue. Anchor was just the brand name, not the design of the chips. Often at flea mkts and show, etc, you find all sorts of things in those old chip boxes. Pla M Wel Co I think made many wood products including wood plain (except for "Pla M Wel" name on them) poker chips.
