thanks Michael, yes for fireworks, always a tripod. A good starting point is ASA/ISO 100 F8 or 11.....or ASA/ISO 200 F16...."bulb" setting with shutter speed anywhere from 2 to 5 sec....if just taking pics of fireworks, no buildings or other light..do a 5 sec exposure....if you have building lights always a good idea of putting something black in front of the lens between bursts..I use a "foammie" from wal-mart..but didnt have it with me that night, thats why some of the highlights are blown
