I played football for 10 yrs. I love the game, and have one favorite team ND , win or lose a life long love of the team, the school,I go to 2-3 games a year, I look forward to these outings more than I can describe. And, I'm not a Catholic!! It is the tradition, the previous players and coaches, and the future. To give you an example, before a ND game I can't sleep at night being so excited. I love college football and I love ND, the campus is so fantastic, the kids, the pep ralley's, the tradition, just the whole package. My loyality dosen't change win or lose. I sat on the bench in the late 50's,(as a high school player) our coach was a friend of coach Frenk Leathy), when they played USC in Ca. My priorities are as follows. God first, wife & family second, ND third. It's a passion, best friend played for ND, and his father played for ND. My dream was for my son to go to ND, he got a scholarship to Az. nothern, then my dream was for my grandson to go to ND and play football, he couldn't get in so he becane a firemen in orange county CA. now I just hope 2009 season will be a top 10 team, a very good chance.
