(that you claim you won't be using
) is VERY nice.
I'd place it below the spa at Wynn, but that's to be expected. I haven't yet been to the spas at Caesars, Bellagio or Venetian which by all accounts are amazing, but the spa at South Point is way nicer than most of the others that I have been in. To rate high on my spa list, the men's side must have dry sauna, steam room, whirlpool and either a cold plunge or a cool pool. The South Point spa has all of this plus two deluge thingies which do wonders for tense shoulders. There are full length lounge chairs in the wet area and a natural stone wall with water and lighting features. Very soothing atmosphere. There is also a separate relaxation area with TV (although I personally feel that a TV and true relaxation do NOT go hand in hand) fireplace and cold juices/fruit/water/teas.
If I remember correctly there is a $25 charge for a day pass to the SP spa.
Give me a few more months and I'll have visited the bulk of the major LV spas. The one big roadblock to my accomplishing this is that a handful of the casino/hotels DO NOT admit locals. Some (like the MGM) when you call them will quote a day pass price and then answer YES to my question of whether hotel guests and locals pay the same price.......and then after I get there and walk a mile to the spa and I place my money on the counter will ask what room I'm in. I told them I was a local and then they said they don't admit locals! I had a mini fit and asked why in the hell would they quote me a price for locals and then deny me access once I got there with CASH in hand??????? Aren't my dollars just as good as those of a hotel guest? Isn't MGM/Mirage in deep shi t financially? Why would you turn away paying customers?
Whoops, I could rant a while longer on my treatment at the MGM spa but I'll stop now and only say I don't think I'll ever experience their spa.
Maybe someday I'll write a compare/contrast article about the spas of Las Vegas.
That's a lot of words to basically continue your praise of the South Point.
I believe that any chippers who are spa savvy will NOT be disappointed with the spa at South Point.
